Acupuncture - Pregnancy
- First trimester: The classic reasons for acupuncture consultations for the 1st trimester (also called the couch trimester) are fatigue, nausea and vomiting, dizziness and loss of concentration, anxiety and insomnia.
- Second trimester: Even if the 2nd trimester is more comfortable, acupuncture is recommended for various disorders such as muscle pain or carpal tunnel syndrome, as well as when there is too much or too little amniotic fluid.
- Third trimester: During the 3rd trimester, acupuncture can help with pain, heavy and swollen legs, insomnia and nasal congestion. The treatments are also effective to adjust breech fetal position, preparation for childbirth from the 36th week and induction of labor.
- Postpartum: During the period after giving birth, also called the Golden Month, all the attention is on the baby, but it’s important to think about mom and getting her back on her feet. This is the key moment to nourish, warm and care for the mother. Acupuncture helps in cases of fatigue, slow scarring, difficulties with milk production or ejection, baby blues, postpartum depression, muscle pain and stiffness, oedema, hemorrhoids, mastitis and other inflammations, etc.
Acupuncture - Children & infants

- Children can receive acupuncture treatments from birth. The reason for consultations for the youngest are often digestive difficulties, sleep problems, colic and toothache. For infants and young children, the acupuncturist mainly uses ‘push pins', small stickers holding a tiny needle. This technique allows the little one to move at ease and play or lie down and relax. Pediatric tuina, a classic massage and gentle manipulation technique from TCM (traditional chinese medicine), is also offered for ages 0 to 6.

Il est recommandé de faire une série de 3 à 5 traitements à raison d’une fois par semaine pour assurer un maintien des effets. Suite à la consultation initiale, votre acupunctrice vous présentera un plan de traitement adapté à vos besoins. Contre-indications : Le traitement facial ne peut pas être effectué si vous êtes enceinte, si vous allaitez, si vous souffrez d’épilepsie, ou si vous avez reçu du Botox ou d’autres injections dans la région du visage au cours des 6 à 8 dernières semaines.
